My Ghosts Aren't Italian

If Marco Polo was in another location I'd dine there more than just once every couple years. The deli attached to Jasper's kitchen turns out excellent Italian food. But because I once worked in that exact spot at Watts Mill for an entirely different enterprise, I can't enter the space without reliving my past. There are just too many memories, too many ghosts.

So...the ghosts of retail hell come to haunt you now & then, eh? Well, Bill, you're famous now, thanks to the critics and editors at The Pitch. And dozens more will now be clicking a link to your blog!!

I still have nightmares about the later days of my long, long stint at The Music Exchange. There are nothing but ghosts in my house anymore. And they ain't that friendly either.

    I miss Streetside, too.

    Nothing against the current tenants.

Let's get together, BGO. I'm a friendly ghost.

Anon- I'm so ancient that I was never a Streetside employee. I'm a Penny Lane vet.

Some of us are unfortunately old AND ex-Streetside! You can eat in old Streetsides all over St. Louis now, too. Had appetizers in the jazz section a few months ago. Chili-cheese fries, yum!
