Discovered

I've added a new location to my informal "favorite places in Kansas City" list. The Discovery Center, just east of the Plaza on Troost, is billed as an "urban conversation campus." I just consider it a really pretty park next to a building filled with classrooms. People who don't share my love of birds and bugs, however, are advised to steer clear until winter.

I've seen geese near there. Any run ins? :)

Oh, how I detest Canadian geese, Lee. The pond and stream on the Discovery Center's site are thankfully too small to attract the filthy pests.

I wonder who leaves a larger ecological footprint. Humans or geese?

Geese mostly leave a "crap-print", I've seen them in the pool so no reservoir is too small.

I love looking at the trees that line up where Grand used to run through.

    Its my favorite little oasis.
