Not Fat

I feel so good that it's churlish to pout. Even so, I'm disappointed that I've lost only ten pounds after six arduous weeks of strenuous exercise and extreme dieting. I was hoping to drop twice that amount. Hitting my goal would hardly have made me skinny, but I'd no longer be lumped into the fat guy category. My scale will disappear on Sunday. I miss my magic potion.

I stopped dieting and exercising almost a year ago and only gained 6-8 lbs, so getting up at 4:45AM 5 days a week to go to the gym was overrated.

A 10 lb loss is wonderful! Good for you! I absolutely hate to exercise, am doing it anyway and have lost zilch. Maybe some of of us weren't meant to be thin.

That's a blessing, M.V., but I just know that there's an obese man inside of me fighting to reveal himself.

Thanks, RG. Fitness, I think, is more important than size. One of my best friends weighs 100 pounds more than me but he moves like a cat.

I might add that Curly Howard had the physical grace of a ballet dancer. Just watching him in some of those short films he made with brother Moe and Larry Fine illustrate my point.
