Blood Count

A person close to me has recently been diagnosed with an ailment that may soon end her life. Death doesn't scare me. It's the uncertainty and the suffering that are terrifying.

Thanks, Jessi. If there's an upside to this dire situation, it's that hanging around sick and dying women at hospitals- most of whom are unfathomably brave and noble- reminds me that my own inconsequential concerns are laughable.

I'll just add my voice to jessi's. Hang in there. For what it's worth, my thoughts are with you.

Hang in there, but don't ignore your own concerns.

A bit of good news, in the form of a reprieve from anticipated bad news, came today. I appreciate your thoughts.
