D-U-M-B Everyone's Accusing Me
I'm often chided for my inability to accept compliments. It's so difficult for me to feel good about myself when I consider my many deficiencies. For example, vast swathes of common knowledge still elude me. I don't know where West Point is located. I can identify less than ten constellations. My comprehension of Greek mythology is shameful. I couldn't name the current president of Mexico. And I still recite "lefty-lucy" every time I use a screwdriver.

How many times do you suppose school teachers hear that line every day, Emaw?

HIB - your strengths lie elsewhere. Constellations and Greek Gods do not intesect your sphere of interest. No harm.
I'm sure most astronomers and [whatever you call ancient Greek theologians...the term geek-virgin comes to mind] lack your encyclopedic knowledge of music.
One could argue that an appreciation of music adds more color and warmth to daily life than knowing the geneaology of Zeus or the correct way to turn a screwdriver.

I like to feel educated. Yet my knowledge of history is iffy, and don't ask me geography questions.
For all that, I have been defeated only twice in Trivial Pursuit in the last 10 years.
I guess what I am sayin, is we all have strengths to play to
Oh, and Lucy/loosy has gotten me thru a lot of projects!

Thanks, XO.
I account for a few hundred of those views, Shannon. You just know I had to learn the Soulja Boy!
Nuke- I guess it would be "Loosey." Not "Lucy"! See- I am an idiot!
