What do you do for kicks when you live in Kansas? You drive to Colorado as often as possible, of course. While the trip is a grind for Kansans living on the border of Missouri, the vistas to the west are worth the trouble.
from kc it's what, 10 to 11 hours to denver? 9 hours to co springs - if you avg 80+ mph and don't get caught speeding outside of russell. troopers are sneaky around there... i know for a fact!

I don't dare drive faster than 75, Mike. And I'm obligated to take detours to visit kinfolk.

i admire your restraint on the gas pedal, hap, but i just can't help myself. i could so relate to sammy hagar's song.
btw... do you have kinfolk in wichita? i see articles by a guy named philip all the time in the Eagle online.

My surname is shared by hundreds of Kansans. That guy is probably a distant cousin.
