Presented with 45 minutes of downtime in Mission early this morning, I thought I'd get some reading in over breakfast. Well, there's always McDonalds. Or what about Village Inn? I hadn't been in one for years. Now I remember why. My tab was $10! It's almost impossible to mess up pancakes, eggs and sausage, so my food was fine. I asked my waitress to get this shot of me as I headed to my car to rummage for change.

I think breakfast is overpriced everywhere in the KC area.
Village Idiot has good pancakes, though.

I devoured my pancakes in mere seconds, AJ. I'd also like to clarify that the village idiot is me.

You could always go to the Classic Cookie over by where I reside. Great breakfast if you don't mind dining with Armour Hills matrons and business women having power meetings.

I haven't eaten breakast out since I moved back to KC.
The entire decade I lived in Denver there was this Greek diner on east Colfax, past Colorado Boulevard, that would do you 2 eggs, 2-bacon/sausage/fried ham, hashbrowns, your choice of bread and oj for $1.98.
Maybe you could justify bumping that to $2.50 now - anything higher is a rip.

Thanks for the confirmation, Nick.
The Armour Hills Matrons would be a good band name, BGO.
