Snake on a Stick
Before I briefly tormented this beautiful animal earlier today, I accidentally stepped on it at a park near my home. I don't have a fear of snakes, but being startled by the unexpected hiss and coiling action of a disturbed serpent is always unnerving.

I kill them reflexively - step on one, kill one. Every time without thought or fail.
I think of it as performance art.

heebie jeebies. had i stepped on it, i would have neither killed it or taken time to pick it up with a freakin' stick for a photo op. i'd have just bounded away a good 10 feet and not looked back.
