That's How Easy Love Can Be

In spite of the all-too-obvious headline of this post, I don't really love ABC Cafe in Overland Park. It's one of those "authentic" Chinese restaurants that seems capable of producing incredible food, but is unwilling to deliver it to the uninitiated diner's table. Does anyone know the secret password?

Never actually been there, but it looks like where Tarahumara used to be.

It's on the south side of 87th, between the library and 69.

I ate there more than once and know the owner-Cindy. When I first came in she warned me and I said I was fine with eating "real" Chinese food. They even added photos to the menu since I kept asking what's written on the wall in Chinese. Just tell them you are not afraid to try. Or go with me. We even had a #kcsupperclub there, chicken feet, jelly fish and all.

It's funny, Meesha. The server- presumably Cindy- was very nice, but she absolutely refused to let me go that route. I'll drop your name next time.

Is that an Ariel Atom in the parking lot? I didn't know they sold those in the States.

Okay. I really want to try this place but you're scaring me off, HiB. The online reviews seem to indicate that the food is superior and worthy of any diner with catholic tastes.

I have virtually no interest in vehicles, SMH, so I didn't didn't pay much attention to the detailed conversations about that contraption. But people were pretty excited about it.

I didn't intend to scare anyone off, BGO. I'm going back.
