Upgrade
Upgrade! I parlayed my ten dollar ticket into a courtside seat for last night's Texas-Pittsburgh game at Sprint Center. A kind friend who won a text message contest made it possible. He didn't want to stick around after his beloved Iowa fell to Wichita State. The upgrade allowed me a close look at Dexter Pittman, one of my favorite collegiate players. He once weighed 366. Look at him now.

Pittman is a monster. He's amongst the best "big" men in the collegiate game. If Texas gets some consistency from the outside shooters, Pittman will dominate the inside and my alma mater will be a tough game this year for everyone else in the Big 12.

As much as I love Pittman, it looks like he's still adjusting to his new body. Pittsburgh's big man showed him up a few times. But Damien James... The most talented guy on the court never stopped hustling. So impressive.

eick... after last night's performance from aldrich, i wouldn't be overly confident. yes, the 'hawks won, yes other team members stepped up, but cole was beaten at his own game and pittman could do the same. - mike t.
