Taco Trouble
The line extended into the parking lot during the lunch hour at Taco Via today. Was the restaurant's new location at the northwest corner of 95th and Antioch offering free food? Nope- it was serving up an uninspired version of Tex-Mex that's only marginally superior to Taco Bell. People seem to love it. It's a mystery to me.

I used to work at an office within Ranch Mart Shopping Center in the early '90s and Taco Via was one of the only restaurants close enough for me to patronize during my lunch break. I brought my lunch a lot. However, I did take advantage of their 25-cent soda refills. Wonder how much those are today?

I took the liberty of giving myself a "free" refill on my way out the door. Is that a jerk move, Average Jane?

that's one place I never wanted to try. One time eating at Don Chilito's was enough for the rest of my life

Apt comparison, Meesha.

Taco Via is in the "so (quaintly, nostalgically) bad it's good" category.
