Attending the annual "Celebration At Union Station" concert yesterday revived both my sense of patriotism and my affection for Kansas City. The vista, the music and the people were spectacular.
I should also note that my enthusiasm for the event is somewhat tempered by what I saw of the rebroadcast on television. The experience at the back of the audience, where Frisbees and balls were flying, seemed far superior to what transpired near the stage.

Did they have fireworks? We saw fireworks last night on our way home.
