Tumbling
I realize that thousands of layoffs have recently been announced by major Johnson County employers. Even so, isn't a tumbleweed rolling down Metcalf Avenue a bit of overkill? Maybe things are worse than I thought.

Thousands of layoffs have been announced by JoCo employers. However, as of yet, it is not clear whether those jobs will come from the JoCo area or from other places as two of the bigger cuts involve companies that, although headquartered here, are national or multi-national in their reach with plenty of out of town jobs to dilute the direct effect upon this one community. I wouldn't panic just yet.
