I don't know enough about fruit to identify the seasonal citrus currently on grocery store shelves as tangerines, clementines or mikans. Whatever they're called, they taste like roasted sugarplum fairies. Delicious!
Clementines are usually grown in Spain, they don't have pits and they peel really easy. Clementines from California are inferior. I don't know how to identify the other kinds.
