Disaster struck yesterday in Prairie Village. The suburb's token McDonald's outlet caught on fire leaving dollar menunaires in the lurch. Neither Pumpernick's nor Planet Sub offer double cheeseburgers for a dollar.
Of course it's not "real food," Meesha. But for three dollars plus tax you can load up on carbs and sugar, access Wi-Fi and chatter with old folks and teenagers. What a deal!
I'm just glad that I'm not considered a suspect, BGO.
That's bad news, Moxie. The best deal is the $1 side salad. It comes with Paul Newman salad dressing.

Alas! I heard the Double Cheeseburgers are being raised to $1.20 due to the rising cost of fake cheese. Fire and price hike? Coincidence or protest?
