No Mojitos
A couple Mojitos might have changed my attitude. But I wasn't drinking during my recent visit to Cantina Del Rey in Waldo. I just wanted my water glass refilled and a plate of respectable Mexican food. I didn't receive either. A harried waiter did the best he could while the hostess studied Facebook on her laptop at the bar. Should I ever return to the good-looking restaurant, I'll stick to the drink menu.

Dang, that is no good. I just moved into the area and saw the place. Looked inviting enough.

It's both attractive and popular, Mike. I guess I'm just a crank.

It's definitely worth while for a few margs, but the food is pretty standard tex mex fair. $8 for cheese dip. They must have pretty stiff rent payments. And the Mission Hills Burrito...C'mon, we're in Waldo. If you want a good meal stick with the West side.

I really liked their Ward Parkway burrito, with a decent "mole".

always closed when I can go eat, like Sunday evening...Jalapenos is better anyway...and they are open most of the time.

It's hard to believe this place is so popular, there's not much remarkable about it. I guess there isn't too much Mexican food in that area.
